How long did it take for bupropion sr to start working? I started taking wellbutrin sr (bupropion sr) to heighten my sex drive. How long does it take for it to start working? How long does it take for the side affects to wear off (agitation, nausea...etc)?

nimo22 replied: "Most anti-depressants actually decrease your sex drive, so I'm surprised you would take one to increase it. But then well-butrin is different than other anti-depressants so I guess it's possible it can have the opposite affect. You should start feeling a difference after 2 or 3 weeks, although it could be up to 6 weeks. Good Luck."

RxGirl704 replied: "Unfortunately side effects of antidepressants arive faster (in 1 week or less) than the beneficial effect - which can take 4-6 weeks. Try to wait it out. :) The side effects will sometimes wear off when you adjust to the medication at this time."

just me replied: "The only way i think it could heighten your sex drive is if it helped your depression..........but as a norm it deminishes sex drive. as for working for depression it is said that it takes approxamately 6-8 weeks, for full effect. side effects will usually wear off, but if they persist for a long period of time talk to your doc."

josom1219 replied: "If the effects havent worn off within 2 weeks, I would talk to my doctor about taking something else. The Dr. will probably tell you to wait a month, but if they are really bothering you, then you should start looking into weening off of them and starting something new."

What ADD(Or ADHD) medications cause sexual dysfunction? Or can effect the sex drive? I've taken many of these. I've been on so many medications, and I've taken each one for so long. I've noticed my sex drive isn't really strong at all. And Im a guy(Im only 18), Sometimes I dont feel aroused at all, or I dont get turned on enough for an erection. Although recently I was prescribed Bupropion(Which makes me feeell soooo goood =] ) , Can that effect me in the future? Do any of these pre ions effect me? I have been on Ritalin, Stratera(Hah Worse shit ever made, made me depressed[Suit Ice Dale] , Adderal [Made me tweaked out, i lost 45 pounds, and definetly caused ED], Concerta, and last Wellbutrin(Bupropion). Honestly I dont know what to do. Or what it is.. or was.

As these are public record now-a-days do some searching and read the information to see what effects the drugs you have taken and are taking might hav eon you. remember though that not all people will experience side effects."

hmmm need some help maybe replied: "when you get the meds ask the doc what effects they will have. or go in n see him and ask. some guys just dont feel like it as much some times. your body might be saying hey lets slow down and get use to this med 1st"

Melody S replied: "you poor thing.do you have to take all those drugs? yes they all effect you.. i have taken dex and i got addicted to it,i lost so much weight i was so happy...then after a while i felt so down and sick all the time.i just dont know how kids can stomach it....."
