Some questions about Naproxen Sodium.? What does it do? For what reasons would anyone need to take it? Would anybody able to get high off of it? If so how much would it take? *TRUST ME I'M NOT GOING TO TRY AND OVERDOSE OR GET HIGH OFF OF THESE!* I found these pills in my boyfriends pillow case. Since he used to abuse pills i asked a friend from church what they were but she told me and kind of was being uncomfortable so i didnt go into many details or get to ask her any questions.

chocolate lover replied: "its an anti-enflametory drug. helps with enflamation in muscles and joints. if he used to abuse pills, he may have something else in the bottle. no reason to hide naproxen. u don't get high from using it."

midnightmoon62 replied: "Its generic Aleve. To my knowledge has no recreational value. Can be used for head aches or soreness due to inflamation."

Az R replied: "It's a conventional NSAID painkiller like Advil, Ibuprofen or aspirin. Commonly used with children in chewable form. Sold over the counter for minor aches, pains, headaches and the like, also reduces inflammation. Commonly sold as brand name Motrin. You cannot under any circumstances get high off it in any way shape or form, no matter how much you take. Taking too much of it will irritate your stomach, and possibly give you an ulcer."

quarkz replied: "It's an NSAID (non steroidal anti inflammatory drug), and it's similar to advil (ibuprofen). Was he in some sort of injury lately? Since you said your boyfriend abused pills before, he may be using this INSTEAD of opioid analgesics(pain relievers). Doctors usually prescribe these pills for pain for people who don't want to relapse."
